Polypropylene in interior door coverings
Polypropylene is a water – resistant polymer with attractive properties that make it an excellent choice when creating door coverings.
Under conditions of constant contact with water for six months at room temperature, the water absorption of the material will be 0.5 percent, and at 60 degrees under the same conditions, the indicator will approach only 2 percent. Only oxidizing agents with strong properties, such as chlorosulfonic and nitric, sulfuric, and hydrochloric acids, can seriously affect such a material. Polypropylene is a typical plastic with the properties of dense polyethylene.
Interior doors with polypropylene coating
The technology of creating doors with a coating of this material is similar to the process of lamination or installation of PVC coatings, with a special feature in the form of the use of decorative polypropylene film. It does not contain harmful substances, but it has significant advantages over other films.
This is an environmentally friendly surface compared to PVC solutions, safety for humans remains relevant both when creating products and when operating them. The film has a maximum similarity with the natural wood surface, which makes it aesthetic. Available for stamping, printing in high quality, optical performance is pleasing. Also, the film is resistant to external mechanical influences, it is not subject to abrasion or scratching, this is provided by a special protective coating.
Interior doors polypropylene for many years retain their attractive appearance, have an extended service life, without requiring special care.
